GTI's from Mexico

Hi friends, since time ago I am a PASSION GOLF GTI.COM fan.
My name is Abdul and I live in Mexico City and here to there are a lot of crazy people like me who likes the GTI´s, right now I am proudly owner of 5 GTI´s (mk1, mk2, mk3, mk5 and mk6) and 1 Porsche (930), here are the pics:
This is my mk1, here in Mexico the first generation of Golf was called "Caribe", until now I do not know why VW choose this name, I took this "Caribe" and I converted it in a european GTI
This is my mk2 16V
and these are my other toys.
As you can see, I do not like the "tuning style", really, I like to try the OEM style.
Well friends, regards from Mexico.

Welcome Home Abdulcito !
What a nice car's collection you have, especially the first one. I love this original style and the way you have taken care of it.
Actually, i am looking for exactly the same style and the same model for me.
Enjoy time with us !

Hi Abdul and welcome on board !
Nothing to add : the picts express the love and the care you deserve to your cars ! What a nice collection
Can you only explain me how you converted your Caribe in a Euro GTI ? Did you change the original motor for this one with fuel injection ? Is your dashboard the original one ?
Best regards

Salut, jolie cette MK1 (visiblement importée d'Allemagne), mais un peu "puzzle"...
Moteur de .... ???? Compteurs d'Oett. ??? Tableau de bord de GLS ??? Volant de "Petitsfeu" gainé de cuir ??? x:bizarre:
Mais bon, jolie quand-même.

Well, I took the "Caribe" and throw to the trash almost all the things, this car had carburator, I made the motor with 1,800 c.c. and fuel injection, the dashboard is the original in the mexican version, right now I am looking for a new one in Cabrio version that is the same that the Euro version but is hard to find, as you can see I installed an brand new and originale BBS body kit, ATS CUP in 15".

Nice collection, I would like to drive your other toys too.
This is the first time I see that kind of seatbelts (on your MK2). Do they lock at the top as I think ?
