Salut, je m'appelle Antoine et suis de mexico
le problème consiste en ce que je ne parle pas français
par ce que je parlerai en anglais et j'essaierai de m'aider d'un traducteur
Well, i live in México and if you don´t know here in México the golf is called "CARIBE" because in Puebla they made a contest to name the golf and that name of caribe was the winner in "honor" of the Caribe Sea.
The caribe was sold since 1979 up to 1987 and the Caribe GT was the equivalent to the GTI sold in 1984 - 1986 but with a lot of changes like the front, rear, seats, engine, gear box, dashboard, rims, no sunroof and more you will see in the pictures.
The GT came with 1.8 pierburg carburator NO INJECTION that´s why theres is missing the "I" in the Caribe GT, has recaro seats with upholstery caribe gt borded, 13" "tarantula" rims with 175/70/13 radials, GT stripes, trunk black decal, 4 speed gear box, 1.6 GTI cilindric muffler, red stripe grille, 1 piece duckbill and i think thats all.
Mine is 1984 90% stock, it only has eibach springs, golf mk2 muffler and 205/60/13 tyres (very common modification to look a little better the tarantulas) i´m planning to restore it because the rust is starting and i want a NOS caribe gt
Here are the pics, i will add some of my NOS parts that i´ve been collecting like for 4 or 5 years
A friends car and mine
