That gearbox was buit on nov 6th 1990 and comes from a 16V KR/PL engine, it is a little bit stronger than all the 8V versions: the clutch shaft is 2mm bigger (thus the clutch plate is different!).

Hello,

Tried fixing pealed headlining
:top:

Clean up by using cleaner and wet towel.
Decomposed spongy substance is covering the surface of padding and inside of fabric.
I couldn't stick or glue anything on padding and fabric without removing this
:? .

Cleaning padding gently, it turns into whitish and Polystyrene foam is exposed.
Then I used doubles side tapes and started to glue the lining fabric onto the base form :)

Reinforced the cracked place a little.

Not so bad as I expected !

Quite favorable !

The last part.

Then FINISHED!

I'm really satisfied as a DIY revel quality :bravo:

I thought that this would be a hardest part of the restoration, but it went pretty smoothly

It's not certain but I chose the one which can be used in outdoors and durable under high temperature.
Anyway, let's see what will happen

The key is how to remove the spongy things thoroughly :bien:
The fabric can be spread well in the warm weather and fit easily.

The main thing being that all the old glue was removed to assure a good behavior of the fabric in time. :top:
