C'est ce que j'avais personnellement vu en 84 et peut-être aussi dans une revue allemande, mais sans prétendre à une généralité!

Re: 1988 Oettinger mk2 from JAPAN
Hello everyone
No update for a while, but the car is going to be ready for revive gradually
Cleaning up the inside of fuel tank.
We used waste cloth binding with the wire and wiped the tank.

Took out the fuel pump and casing.
There're no signs of leaking fuel, but I have the other casing which I got it from other 16V and I'm going to swap with it.

Fuel distributor is not in good condition
The needle valve is stacking completely and need to disassemble the FD body.
It’s gonna be a waste of time, so I decided to unpack the New FD and Airflow meter which I got few years ago.
There were no plans for the possible future projects and I bought it 'Just in case' at that point.

Bring back the tank, fuel pump and casing in position.

Moved to the front end.
There're extensive work around the engine bay
I don't know how previous owner handled this car and it's too risky to run the engine now.
So I started to change water pump, generator, intake gaskets, toothed belt and the whole water hose
Took out the generator and throttle.

Took out the power steering pump.

Remove the compressor.

Tried to remove the water pump... but the long bolt which holding the water pump was stuck completely
I decided to cut out the water pump to remove it

Such a lot of work to do, but hope it deserved it and that little jewel sang since your last post !
You bought 2000E stickers, but wasn't your engine a 1800E/16 ?

Thanks Fr@nky.
Everything going smoothly
Actually, the car is in painting process now.
Do you want to see the progress of restoration again?
My car is 1800E/16 as you said.
2000E decal is a present from the shop

Good Job !
About your spark plugs, i saw NGK C8E on a picture, for my 2000E/16 I've bought CR9EIX and those are better for me.

Hello,
Here's little progress.
I could get to the point where I can start the engine at least.
Took off the intake and clean it.

Beautiful port

Then re-assemble the whole parts.

And then, the time has come...

Nice! Good job guy! I suppose that the spark plug wiring comes from a japanese car?

Hello Makki,
I just found this on the old forum in 2007, it's a japanese Oettinger, maybe yours a bit younger!
